El Toro Grande Records announces the release date of Patrick Glenn’s “Everything but the Words” as May 10, 2003.

San Antonio, TX – El Toro Grande Records is proud to announce the release of “Everything but the Words”, the debut effort of Patrick Glenn. Produced by Benny McArthur and Patrick Glenn the album features the talents of members from the two most well known bands in country music, the “Ace in the Hole” band and “Asleep at the Wheel” as well as a few other top “Texas Music” bands.

While the project was entirely produced and recorded in San Marcos, Texas, and mastered in nearby Wimberly, Texas, Patrick does not classify it as today’s “Texas Music”. Patrick Glenn is quick to clarify his style as he stated ‘it’s Texas country’, you know the type Texas has been producing for the last 50 years, and the same kind of styles you might find on the entire second floor of the new Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.” “Most people here in Texas don’t know that we have a whole floor out of three dedicated to Texas in the Hall of Fame, and that to me is very important. There’s a lot of different styles that earned Texas that second floor of memorabilia, and I really want to help reinforce the belief that if you want to know where country music’s history comes from you have to look at Texas.” While Patrick admits that he’s a fan of all classifications of “Texas Music”, he adamantly describes his style as ‘a more traditional style of Texas country music’.

Patrick was quick to add that “Every song on the project was chosen specifically for its ability to stand alone, but with a quality that all of the songs together are definitively a collection of my chosen style. It’s the style of music that Texans still pack the old dancehall floors with. If you can’t dance to it, you won’t hear it on this CD.”

Patrick Glenn is currently scheduled for about 15 dates each month through June in the south west region of Texas with plans to include all of Texas and southern parts of Oklahoma by the end of 2003. “Everything but the Words” will be available online at www.patrickglenn.net as of the scheduled release date, via secure online credit card purchase. The premiere radio single for immediate release is track four, “I Think Somebody’s Trying to Tell Me Something”, written by Jim Lauderdale and Dean Dillon.
